OMG just did the funniest and siasui-est thing in QB car park just now. It was J Card Day, so sis, bro in law and I went there to do some grocery shopping after checking out eyewear. The reason why J Card Day is so hyped up is because when you spend RM100 you get RM5 voucher.
So worth it, it's like the best deal ever in the history of hypermarkets.
So later on, when we unloaded our groceries into the car, we saw a receipt in the trolley left by a previous user, but the amount was not enough to claim the voucher. Miraculously, this sister of mine saw another receipt on the floor nearby. Picked it up, added the amount of two receipts, enough to claim RM5. YAY!
That was when her brilliant idea came in. She asked Rohan to drive around the car park and we found two more receipts! But the amount accumulated by those two was still not enough to claim another RM5. However, problem was solved when I saw another one on the floor quite a distance from our car! I ran to it like a mad girl, picked it up and ran back to the car as if I just murdered someone.
The whole process was ridiculous, we were laughing like maniacs. It wasn't the money...I don't know why we did that. I guess it was a boring Saturday and doing sampat things like this excite us. LOL.
After everything, sis took all the receipts and went back in again to claim those vouchers while Rohan and I waited in the car. We noticed a security guard standing there doing nothing and we actually scoffed at the guard for being not productive, just standing there when he could have collected those receipts and claim vouchers like how we did. HAHAHA!
But alas, you cannot possibly outsmart a multi-billion dollar organisation who probably faces people like us every single day because they wouldn't allow us to redeem the voucher if they don't have the same J Card number. Cilaka.
Effort wasted for nothing. Luckily the paid parking ticket was still valid. If not really cilaka x2.
Moral of the story : Security guards aren't really dumb. They probably tried. And if you think you're smart, think again. #wisewords
